Wolds Opera to sing in Louth
On Monday 4th November in St James’s Church, Louth, Wolds Opera, a group of three young singers from The Royal Northern College, of Music https://www.rncm.ac.uk/ will give a concert performance of Mozart’s tuneful short opera Bastien and Bastienne, plus songs by Bizet, Gounod, Tosti and Libby Larson etc. Clementine Thompson (soprano), Sam Rose (tenor) and George Elson (bass) are third-year students at the RNCM about to embark on professional singing careers, and George, a local Lincolnshire lad, is proud to bring his singing friends home to the area for their first tour as Wolds Opera. Their accompanist will be Jane O’Farrell (piano).
The performance begins at 7.30 pm, and admission costs £10 at the door (school students £5). Refreshments will be available in the interval.
